My Fun Halloween Treat

I wanted to put this up because I am so proud of this cute dessert that I made. My mom used to make this graveyard cake for my little brother every year for his birthday. I remembered it the other day and decided to make it for my pumpkin carving night. It turned out great and I wanted to put a few pictures up with the recipe also.

It is a way simple treat the Recipe is:

A bag of Oreo's (crush them)

2 packets of Instant Chocolate Pudding

12 oz or 3 cups of Whipped Cream

As far as the candy on top goes, I got peeps and Milano cookies but you can use whatever you want to put on the top of the actual cake.

Mix the pudding with 3 cups of milk and let sit in the fridge for 5 min. or more. After, mix the pudding, whipped cream, and a 1/3 of the crushed oreos in one bowl. After mixing, place the cake in a 9x13 pan and then spread the rest of the oreo's on top (to look like dirt). The rest is up to your imagination. Place whatever you like to make it look like a graveyard. Let it sit in the fridge for about an hour and then after eating, cover it.

Pumpkin Carving Time!

So this past week I Eric and I got together with a few of our friends to carve pumpkins. I was very excited to do this but Eric is not a big fan due to the smell and the nasty stuff that is inside of a pumpkin. So me being the pregnant (sensitive smeller) one, decided that if I wanted to do this then I would have to reach my hand into that pumpkin and touch all the weird feeling things that were inside (not to mention smell the pumpkin). Overall, it went well, Eric ended up doing a lot of it because he was better than me at carving the inside out. Here are a few pictures of that night.

The End Result.... (Guess who we carved our pumpkin after)

My Cute Niece

This is my cute niece Hannah. She is 9 months old and she is the most chill baby. She is so chill that she doesn't even care to learn how to crawl or walk at all. She loves being held and she loves to open her mouth very wide. She is one of the cutest if not cutest 9 month olds that I have ever seen (I'm sure many can disagree but that is what I think. I have had the funnest time playing with her and learning how to be a mother just from watching her. She has been a blast and I am lucky to have her as my niece!

2009 Group Reunion and Jill's Wedding

So I am in Ohio for about 4 weeks and I already miss my husband very much, but I had the opportunity to see one of my very good friends get married. I had a lot of fun and I am very happy for my friend, Jill, and it was way cool to see all of my other friends.

These are my wonderful friends who I have grown up with. We all just happened to be home in time for Jill's wedding, which was perfect. I really appreciate having such wonderful friends who have given me so many memories and a heck of a lot of laughter.

This is my friend Jill and her husband Chris. They were so happy and way patient with all of us taking her picture.

This is the infamous "Group" that I used to have sleepovers and nothing but fun drama with. I love them and I am glad I had great times with them.

Oh, and I forgot to mention.... I'm pregnant.

Happy 4th of July!

The 4th was a blast and a success this year. It was not hot at all and I got to spend the whole day with family and friends. It was also my first Saturday off work since April and I needed it. Eric and I had a fun time, we got to sleep in early and then we hung out with our new friends, the Rohrer's. The whole day was a blast. We finished the night playing with sparklers and here are some pictures:

This is our first attempt to write BYU, we didn't do so well.

We almost had it....

We finally did it, this time we added an I.... since we actually go to BYU-I we might as well add that extra letter.

These are our new friends the Rohrer's. We had a DTR last night and we are in a relationship with them (not really). We were their neighbors and now we are there friends. We had a blast hanging out with them and, of course, playing Settlers of Catan.

Eric Joseph Baron

This is my husband. He was my little art project this week. I was bored and I decided to play around with Photoshop and my new camera. He had fun playing model too. I showed him the picture and I told him it was very Andy Warhall'ish, but he didn't get it. His favorite face is the "Zoolander" pose or the "blue steal". I am glad I have a husband who lets me use him for whatever projects I am working on.

Steph's Game

I finally got to see my sister-in-law play a game! It was a lot of fun too! We had a blast and her team kicked UVU's butt! The best part of it was that she hit a home run for everyone to see. It was a perfect moment for our family and we will always remember it!

For all of you who wanted to see my sisters boyfriend, here he is.

Drew and Steph's Graduation

First off, I just wanted to say that I had a blast this last weekend with my family. I love them very much and I am so happy I got to be apart of Drew and Steph's graduation. Even though it was two hours long, I got to play with my new camera and have a fun time taking pics.

Drew and the Padres

Since I got my new camera, I have been taking lots of pictures. I thought I would put these up for Drew and Steph to show how great of parents they will one day be.

This last picture is for my mom. I took a random picture just to test my flash and my mom was in a different room, so she didn't know I was taking the picture. So when she saw the flash she said, "Looks like there is lightning outside. Everyone started to laugh. It was a funny moment for me and for everyone in the room. Here is the picture I took.

Rexburg Chamber of Commerce

I started my Internship this week and I am having a good time. I have learned that interns are usually known as the "go to" person and I do a lot of busy work. But one thing I am very excited to work on is the Idaho International Dance Festival. I was told the other day that I will be helping out with the organization of this event and creating advertisements for a new thing they are adding to it. I am very excited for this experience and I know I will learn a lot.

Our one year

I can't believe we have been married for a year. I am so happy I am married to Eric and I am grateful for the person that he is. We went to Jackson Hole and stayed in a nice little cabin. The weather was okay but it was very nice to get away from Rexburg.

Passover

This was my first official passover with my Jewish Grandparents and it was a lot of fun. Not only did I enjoy the whole event, but I also learned a lot about the passover. I also ate a lot of interesting things too. The bitter herbs were probably the hardest things to eat. Everyone who knows me, knows I am a very picky eater. When the gifelte fish came around, I had to pass. Eric told me it was the hot dog of fish. I love the whole thing and enjoyed being with the fam.

In the end everyone sang a song and it was a lot of fun to watch my husband speak Hebrew and sing with his family. The song was called "Dayenu"and here are the lyrics:

Ilu ho-tsi, ho-tsi-a-nu,
Ho-tsi-a-nu mi-Mitz-ra-yim,
Ho-tsi-a-nu mi-Mitz-ra-yim,
Da-ye-nu!

.. CHORUS:
.. Dai, da-ye-nu,
.. Dai, da-ye-nu,
.. Dai, da-ye-nu,
.. Da-ye-nu, da-ye-nu, da-ye-nu!
..
.. Dai, da-ye-nu,
.. Dai, da-ye-nu,
.. Dai, da-ye-nu,
.. Da-ye-nu, da-ye-nu!

Ilu na-tan, na-tan la-nu,
Na-tan la-nu et-ha-Sha-bat,
Na-tan la-nu et-ha-Sha-bat,
Da-ye-nu!

.. (CHORUS)

Ilu na-tan, na-tan la-nu,
Na-tan la-nu et-ha-To-rah,
Na-tan la-nu et-ha-To-rah,
Da-ye-nu!

.. (CHORUS)

Graduation

I can't believe it is finally here. I am done with school! It is so weird to think that I have completed college and I don't have to study anymore. I graduated in Communications with a Sociology minor and I am very excited to start my career. I will be starting my internship soon and I get to learn more about organizing events. This last weekend was crazy. My family came in to see me. I am very grateful for all they have done for me and I had a blast with them. Overall, I am exhausted and Eric and I have decided that we both deserve to go to the spa after this hectic but exciting weekend!

This is Sister Bergstrom and me. When I came up to get my diploma she hugged me and told me that I was one of her favorites and began to cry a little. It was a great moment for me to realize how special this school has been to me.

This is my friend Jill and me. We have have grown up together in Ohio and it was such a great experience to be beside my friend as we each obtained a great goal.

I love my Family!

I am Back!

Hey everyone! So it has been forever but I now have so much more time on my hands since school has been over and I am gonna make it an effort to do better. As you can see I just graduated and I am very excited to start a new chapter in my life. I have an internship that I will start soon at the Rexburg Chamber of Commerce and I am ready to be in the real world, well more like the Rexburg Bubble world. I hope I can keep up with my blog. Thanks Sarah for helping me out with everything!
